Focus: The grammar of the Polish language, literature and cultural studies. Education Level: all
Description: The language part of the Summer School includes: - Polish grammar (analysis of the system as well as practical exercises), - speaking practice. The part 'Country Studies' involves the overview of landmarks of Polish history, arts and culture and their interplay with the phenomena of the modern Polish language. 
Students are placed in small groups (up to 8-10 peoples) by their level of language proficiency according to the results of a placement test taken on the first program day. 
Classes are taught by highly qualified native-speaker instructors, who have been certified to teach Polish as a foreign language. All instructors have an extensive experience of teaching Polish as a foreign language. 
Teaching in English is available. 
The program includes various excursions and field trips to sites of historical and cultural interest in Krakow and its environs.

Registration Instructions: Please send an application email to the address kanclerz@wsbif.pl  including the following information: 
- name and personal data - your educational institution (with an official post address), - year of study/course and the actual Polish language level, - postal address to which the invitation letter should be sent

CURRICULUMYou may choose one of the following programs:1. Polish for Beginners (for novice learners).2. Elementary Polish (for those at level A1 aiming further)3. Speaking Practice (remedial course in grammar and vocabulary, level A2)4. Improving Polish (level B1).5. Advanced Polish (intensive speaking practice at levels B2 and C1).6. Business Polish.7. Certificates in Polish (preparation for certification tests)8. Professional Development course for teachers of Polish.Classes are held 4 days a week, 6 academic hours per day (one academic hour is 45 minutes):' 22 hrs - Language classes (pronunciation, grammar and speaking practice);' 2 hrs - Electives in Polish language, literature and culture.Students take part in preparation of thematic lessons and celebrations in Polish during the course.?ertificates of Attendance are issued upon completion.Certification tests can be arranged on request.Tuition Explanation: The course fee includes tuition, accommodation, a limited number of group excursions and field trips Krakow and Upper Silesia;  Katowice Airport bus transfer upon arrival and before departure. 





FINANCIAL TERMSFees are calculated per person for a 4-week stay. A shorter stay (1 week or more) can be arranged on request.
